Question by Justin: How does the hagen underwater filter tube work?
I bought the hagen elite underwater filter and it came with a tube with a valve..but i’m not sure how i’m supposed to use it (the instructions dont mention it other than “for added aeration”. Am i supposed to put the tube underwater or let it hang outside? thanks!
i bought this filter:

It came with a venturi tube, but i’m not sure as to what it’s supposed to do..does it just hang out of the water or is it supposed to be submerged?

Hello, the tube with the valve hangs outside of the tank. You can adjust the valve to adjust the air that is introduced to your tank. Personally, I’d leave the valve closed since aerating a tank causes mineral creep on the lip of the tank IMO. HTH. Good luck.
